1. Overview
We want users to feel confident trying EthosSyntax / Abhyas. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available for paid memberships, subscriptions, credit packages, or digital products purchased through our Platform.
Because our Services are digital and may provide immediate access to practice questions, mock exams, AI feedback, scoring, study materials, and downloadable resources, refunds are subject to the rules below.
2. 7-Day First Purchase Satisfaction Guarantee
For your first paid purchase, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days of purchase if you are not satisfied, provided that your account has not substantially used the paid Services.
Unless a different threshold is clearly shown at checkout, you qualify for a first-purchase refund only if all of the following are true:
- Your refund request is made within 7 calendar days of purchase
- You have completed fewer than 10 paid practice exercises or activities
- You have attempted no more than 2 mock exams
- You have used no more than 20 AI feedback/evaluation credits, if credits apply
- You have not downloaded, exported, copied, or substantially consumed premium materials in a way that makes the purchase effectively used
- Your account has not violated our Terms of Service, including account sharing, resale, abuse, or automated misuse
- If your product does not include mock exams, AI credits, or downloadable materials, only the relevant conditions will apply.
3. Subscription Renewals
Renewal payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law or unless there was a billing error caused by us or our payment provider.
You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date if you do not want to continue. Cancelling after renewal stops future charges but does not automatically refund the renewed billing period.
4. One-Time Digital Purchases
For one-time purchases, refunds may be available within 7 calendar days only if:
- The product was not delivered or accessible
- A technical issue caused by us prevented reasonable access and we could not resolve it within a reasonable time
- The purchase was accidental and the product was not substantially used, downloaded, exported, or consumed
- Due to the digital nature of the Services, refunds may be denied once paid content, AI feedback, mock exams, downloadable resources, or premium materials have been substantially accessed or used.
5. When Refunds Are Not Granted
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Requests made after the 7-day refund window
- Accounts that exceed the usage limits described in this policy
- Subscription renewals that were not cancelled before renewal
- Change of mind after substantial use
- Failure to use the Services during the billing period
- Dissatisfaction due to official exam results, score outcomes, immigration outcomes, job outcomes, academic outcomes, or professional outcomes
- Technical issues caused by your device, microphone, browser, internet connection, operating system, or third-party software outside our control
- Account sharing, resale, abuse, suspicious activity, or violation of our Terms of Service
- Accounts suspended or terminated for prohibited use
- Duplicate accounts created to obtain multiple refunds or promotional offers
6. Billing Errors and Duplicate Purchases
We may provide a refund or correction if:
- You were charged because of a verified billing error
- You were charged after properly cancelling before renewal
- You accidentally purchased duplicate subscriptions for the same account
- A payment was processed incorrectly by our system or payment provider
- We may request proof of payment, receipts, transaction IDs, or account information to verify the issue.
7. Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancelling a subscription prevents future renewal charges. It does not automatically refund payments already made.
Unless your access is terminated for violating our Terms, you may continue using paid features until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can review and try to resolve the issue fairly.
Filing a payment dispute or chargeback without contacting us may result in temporary account restriction while the payment issue is investigated. Fraudulent or abusive disputes may result in account suspension or termination.
9. Purchases Through Third-Party Platforms
If you purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, PayPal, Stripe, or another third-party platform, refunds may be subject to that provider's rules and processing timelines.
In some cases, we may not be able to directly issue refunds for purchases controlled by a third-party platform. You may need to request the refund through that provider.
10. How to Request a Refund

- Your full name
- Account email address
- Date of purchase
- Product, plan, or membership purchased
- Receipt, invoice number, or transaction ID, if available
- Reason for the refund request
- We aim to review refund requests within 5-10 business days. Approved refunds are usually returned to the original payment method where possible. Your bank, card issuer, app store, or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund.
11. Fair Use and Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear abusive, fraudulent, repetitive, or inconsistent with the purpose of this policy. Examples include creating multiple accounts to receive repeated refunds, sharing paid access with others, scraping content, or using a large amount of premium content before requesting a refund.
12. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase will generally apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law or is more favorable to you.
